Sajf Allegrija
Sajf Allegrija is a six-week summer experience organised by the Salesians of Don Bosco at the Salesian Oratory of Dingli.
Why Sajf Allegrija? It recalls Don Bosco’s "Società dell’Allegria", a youth club founded by Don Bosco when he was still a teenager to promote a joyful relationship with God and friends. The same joyful spirit that permeates all Salesian educational work, is a hallmark of this summer experience.
This year’s theme, Sejħa għall-Imħabba, draws inspiration from the Salesian Strenna, centred on the Wedding at Cana (John 2:1–12). Just as Mary encouraged the servants to follow Jesus’ words, we too are called to listen to Him and live lives filled with joy, enthusiasm, and loving kindness towards all those we encounter.
With this in mind, Sajf Allegrija continues to provide a space where young people can grow, discover their gifts, and share hope with others - becoming beacons of light in today’s world.
Following last year’s unforgettable Sajf Allegrija – Voyagers of Hope, we invite you to be part of this six-week summer experience. The programme includes a variety of activities such as sports, water games, outings, formation sessions, Holy Mass, group activities, and swimming — all designed to create a meaningful and joyful summer together.
Applications for this exciting experience are available NOW. Demand is very high and unfortunately places are limited. Booking is done on a first come, first served basis.

What to expect?
Christian Encounter
We celebrate the encounter with Christ in word, prayer and sacraments. The daily Eucharist and the sacrament of Reconciliation are means of exceptional value for education.

Activities
Inspired by Don Bosco’s invitation to “run, jump, shout but do not sin”, in a spirit of adventure we engage in several fun activities such as sports, performing arts, group activities and plenty of surprises!
Formation Sessions
Faithful to the intentions of Don Bosco, our purpose is to form “upright citizens and good Christians” by proposing a holistic formation to our participants, that caters for their specific needs. Together, in a sense of family spirit, we bring talents and aptitudes to full maturity.

Outings
Weekly formative and thrilling outings exploring several places of interest and revealing hidden gems across the Maltese Islands.
"My children, you are very dear to me.
To know that you are young is sufficient reason for me
to care very much for your welfare".
